Limit switches, magnetic sensor and control units

A COMPLETE SERIES OF PRODUCTS INTENDED TO CONTROL THE CLOSING OF DOORS, GUARDS OR MOBILE GUARDS IN MECHANICAL OR MAGNETIC VERSIONS IS AVAILABLE. MECHANICAL MODELS OFFER PARTICULAR ADVANTAGES SUCH AS VISIBILITY OF THE OPERATION, ELECTRICALLY SEPARATE CONTACTS AND ABLE TO SWITCH HIGH CURRENT.

Limit switches are devices used to determine the end position of a mechanical movement.

They are used to limit the travel of an actuator or drive mechanism to avoid damage to equipment or danger to operators

They operate by a physical contact principle: when the mechanism moves and reaches the end position, the device contacts the end point and stops the movement, preventing further movement.

The Gamma System limit switches can be supplied in plastic IP65 or IP66 metal case with a width of 30 or 50 mm in three configurations:

  1. with key (different types of key are available) with adjustable head at 90°;
  2. with galvanized steel shaft;
  3. lever in galvanized steel. The modules must be completed with the relative snap-action auxiliary contact blocks (1NO + 1NC or 2 NC).

AVAILABLE SAFETY CONTROL UNIT IN CATEGORY 4

The magnetic limit switches, to be preferred in the case of use in particularly humid, dirty or dusty environments, all with IP67 protection degree, are available in 2 geometric configurations:

  • cylindrical (with a diameter of 6 mm);
  • rectangular (67 x 25 mm or 48 x 40 mm) with relative activation magnet.

All limit switch models have one NO contact and one NC contact on output. The activation of the sensor can take place indifferently along the three axes "X", "Y" and "Z" and is achieved by approaching the magnetic unit.

Serigraphic and mechanical references are provided for correct assembly and operation. Available 2 different types of control units in safety level 4 depending on the number of sensors connected (up to a maximum of 6 sensors with independent input).

Reference standard EN 60947-5-1 and IEC 947-5-1.
