The control unit type GSUCATEX finds application coupled with pressure-sensitive Mats and Bumpers used in potentially explosive atmosphere.

The sensor (sensitive mat Mod. GSTSATEXR or bumper Mod. GSBPSATEXR, with electrical contacts and end of line resistor – 8.2 kΩ - 0.5W) is inserted in an “intrinsically safe” circuit / system, interfaced with an “Associated Equipment” (passive safety barrier), adequately certified ([Ex ia Ga] IIC / [Ex ia Da] IIIC) and installed in a safe area.

The barrier is installed between the electric contacts (blue) and the Safety Module type GP02R
